ROSEBURG AREA FISHING

Steel Head Salmon

Steelhead Salmon

$150/Half Day, $200/Full Day

Steelhead are available most of the year in Oregon, we have two distinct runs of steelhead and they each have their peak season. Summer Steelhead begin entering the river systems in April and fishing for them is very good through July. Summer steelhead are very aggressive biters and I fish all different methods for them, including Fly Fishing, Spinner Fishing and Bouncing Bait. Summer Steelhead average 8-12 pounds and are great fighters.

Smallmouth Bass

Smallmouth Bass

$150/Half Day, $200/Full Day

Smallmouth bass trips take place on the Umpqua River near Roseburg, Oregon. This is a catching trip, not a fishing trip. An average day Smallmouth fishing will be 50-100 fish per rod! They can be caught on just about all methods including flies, plastic worms and plugs. This is a great trip for everyone who just wants to catch a lot of fish on a beautiful river. The best fishing is during the hot part of the summer. July and August are best, by this time the water has warmed into the high 70’s and these fish are very aggressive. This is a great trip for youngsters or people who have not fished a lot, as well as hard core anglers. The average size Smallmouth on the Umpqua is 10 inches but most days will see a few fish in the 16-20 inch range brought to the boat.
